Duncan Christie

Duncan is an experienced commercial property professional and Associate Partner at Naylors, having joined the firm in 2017 to strengthen its Industrial Agency team alongside Keith Stewart. With more than a decade of experience in the North East property market, he has built a strong reputation for delivering strategic, commercially focused advice to a broad range of clients.

Prior to graduating with a degree in Business Studies in 2013, Duncan began his career in residential agency, gaining early exposure to market dynamics and client advisory work during a placement year in Leeds. Upon graduation he subsequently joined a well-known national estate agency firm, where he spent three years progressing through multiple North East branches. His performance and leadership capability led to his promotion to Valuation Manager, taking responsibility for branch management and residential valuations — a significant early career milestone that demonstrated both technical competence and managerial aptitude.

In 2017, Duncan further strengthened his professional credentials by completing a Master’s degree in Real Estate at Northumbria University. He achieved Member status of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) in 2020, underlining his technical expertise and commitment to the highest professional standards. In recognition of his continued contribution and performance, he was promoted to Associate Partner in 2024.

Duncan combines academic achievement, professional qualification and practical market experience to provide clients with informed, decisive advice across the industrial and commercial property sectors.

Outside of his professional commitments, he is a committed runner, having completed the Great North Run on multiple occasions, and enjoys golf, where persistence and good humour remain essential qualities!
