Client requirements

Argon Properties were seeking opportunities to deliver new industrial/logistics development in the North East but required the right site and delivery structure to bring forward a viable scheme.

Separately, Buccleuch Property had the investment strength and long-term development expertise to support a strategic industrial project, should the right opportunity arise.

The key requirements were to:

Our involvement spanned opportunity origination, partner alignment and acquisition, helping transform a dormant site into a deliverable logistics scheme.

The results

The site progressed from identification to delivery of a major regional logistics development.

  • Formation of a strategic joint venture between Argon Properties and Buccleuch Property

  • Acquisition of a long-vacant brownfield site with no development for more than 25 years

  • Delivery of a £16m logistics scheme

  • Creation of a modern 60,000 sq. ft distribution facility
