The University of Sunderland is selling Forster Building on Chester Road and has appointed commercial property specialist, Naylors as sole agent to market the property.
The four-storey building, which was constructed in 1975, forms part of the University of Sunderland’s City Campus and is situated opposite University Metro Station. It also incorporates a 1.4 acre site including a large car park facility.
Naylors agency team is seeking offers for the freehold interest, which is available with immediate vacant possession.
James Fletcher, commercial agency surveyor at Naylors said: “This presents an excellent development opportunity right in the heart of Sunderland city, adjacent to the University campus. Subject to planning it could be suitable for a range of town centre uses including retail and other commercial uses.
We have experienced extremely high levels of interest and as a result we will be going to best and final offers on 31st March.”
