The Biosphere recognised at prestigious OBN Awards

Last night our Managing Partner, Angus White, was privileged to be invited by NewcastleGateshead Initiative to sit on their table at the prestigious OBN Awards in Oxford, to help celebrate success in the Life Sciences sector, and fly the flag for the Life Sciences sector in Newcastle.

The table was up for an award for The Biosphere in the category of Best Sector Support Organisation – unfortunately whilst it didn’t win it was fantastic that the project was shortlisted and the team received praise for the “significant traction” made in the first 12 months of operation – we were also of course the loudest table!

A huge thank you to Matt Bratton and Kelly Gleadow of Invest Newcastle for hosting the table and also a special mention to Nathalie Hunter of Arcinova, based in Alnwick, who were also up for an award in the best CRO category – again unfortunately Arcinova didn’t win the award but were also shortlisted.

So whilst there were no wins this time it was a good night all round and great to put the Life Sciences sector in the North East on the map!
